COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING

The Community Health Nursing department of the College was established in the year 2013. The Department is involved in imparting regular health education to the public of the rural and urban areas, in guiding the UG research projects of students and research consultancy.

The department is having well qualified faculty from different universities across India. The faculty members are actively involved in teaching the undergraduate students, guiding them in patient care and research activities and conducting various extension programs. The department conducts awareness programs on mental health related topics in schools and various urban rural areas of Latur.

At present the department is qualified staffs who are fully involved in training students in community health nursing and in promoting health and preventing Illness.

Objectives

To impart essential knowledge, attitude and skills to provide quality services in communities.
To empower learners to respond to health needs in the cultural context using existing facilities.
To develop skills for collaboration with community based groups towards health promotion
To make students aware of the role of nurses in health care delivery systems.
To promote research mindedness in learners through the use of epidemiological methods.
